From what I've learned about the Clintwood linemen in the past 5 minutes...he quit almost 3 weeks ago...this coming from a Clintwood player...
chubz... we had one do the same thing last year. He started at corner had played and played well for 3 years and quit because he didn't get to run the ball enough on offense.
Nope, he played in the Lebanon game, didn't play in the Powell Valley game. Was a serviceable player, definitely thought playing part-time helped him out, but obviously he disagreed.
It happens.

That's a shame... These kids truly don't understand the opportunities they've been given.
someone that i work with the player mentioned who quit at clintwood is her nephew
IMHO if there heart is not there you are better off without them.....That being said it will hurt Clintwoods Depth there and considering that he would have been back next season (still could be back I guess) It puts a crimp in next years team as well
sounds to me like J.I.Burton is looking ahead to bad pound won't be prepared by their mighty coach or who knows what would happen, but I bet they don't have a game plan
Who said Burton was looking ahead?
Same guy said Pound was needing a coach?
Does it really matter how prepared Pound is for Burton??? Nope didnt think so, Norton would still pound the Pound.

I could start at QB and have Tom Brady numbers against Pound. JIB could not show up Friday and still manage a win, I dont think anyone is too worried about Pound this year.
haha i would pay money to see pound beat norton.
go cats!!!

and no one thought the Fins would mop the floor with the Pats last week either. if Norton doesnt show up to play they can get beat
Big difference between Brady Pats and Cassel Pats. I am all for upsets and the underdog but I am realistic too.
not many gave the Giants a chance to shut down the Brady led Pats and win the Super Bowl

One QB, if I recall correctly. One play. Becomes even more important in HS. Key players and injuries, I mean.
But I am saying that there arent any key injuries Coleman and Miles are fine (knock on wood) and I wouldnt even play them more than one quarter in this game. Look what happened last year against the same team, too much of a risk against a weak team.
Not saying that. Still one injury , one ejection and any given night. Jimbo will be alright, and have them ready to play, I think.
Coty Brummette is out for the year with multiple tears of the Labrum and nerve impingement. Losing a All-District, All-Region, and honorable mention All-State OL/DL could be a key injury in the long run for the raiders. The other guard is also out for the year with a separated collarbone and a fractured shoulder blade.
ouch! that hurts

Not by Pound.

How in the world did they get hurt, particularly Brummette as that sounds like a rather painful injury.

He had shoulder problems last year.
The Doctor said the shoulder must have dislocated and popped back in. When the shoulder popped back in, it took a bundle of nerves with it. He had surgery on the shoulder last summer and will have surgery on it this time within the next week or so.
Losing Brummette will hurt more on defense than offense, a lot more.
Is he a senior?
Yes, he is a senior.
He is.
I hate it even more then. When a kid has another year, they can come back from it, when they are a senior, it sucks.
Here goes the injury bug again for us.We have been snake bitten two years in a row now.
Folks talking about the Lb.-JIB game..isn't that the game they lost Coleman in last year?
Honaker/JIB I believe you mean. JIB doesn't play Lebanon.
He means pound as in 1 lb. of ground beef
Yes coleman got hurt against pound although it was a burton player that caused the injury.

There ya go Counts ...Unless Coleman was injured in warmups last year, it doesn't matter who laid the lick, it happened against the Lb.
Injurys happen (Heck Clintwood Lost Hamilton in a pep-rally one year)
Burton SHOULD have this game well in hand by the half and I don't looks for the big names for Burton to be out there past that point
If ur smart, they don't play long at all.
my junior year against Franklin i got the same injury as brummette has now. It's pretty painful and was hard to come back from... I feel sorry for the kid since he's a senior!
